The controversial issue is that of abortion. Here is mainly my research:

The legal definition of abortion is; '' the termination of a pregnancy after, accompanied by, or closely followed by the death of the embryo or fetus especially: the medical procedure of inducing expulsion of a human fetus to terminate a pregnancy''. There are more ways of how other individuals give a definition of abortion. Every individual in this society is different and everyone has the right to say what he/she wants. With regards to abortion, there are different types of abortion. There are two kinds of abortion — the abortion pill and in-clinic abortion.

A medication abortion (also known as the abortion pill) consists of using two different medicines called mifepristone and misoprostol to end a pregnancy. This medicine causes cramping and bleeding to empty the uterus. It’s kind of like having a very heavy and crampy period, and the process is very much likely to an early miscarriage. In most states, the abortion pill can only be taken up to ten weeks after the first day of the last period. If the person has passed the ten weeks, one can still get an in-clinic abortion. The doctor or nurse will give detailed directions about where, when, and how to take the medicines.

In-clinic abortion (also called a surgical abortion) is a medical procedure. It works by using suction to empty your uterus. How late one can get an abortion depends on the laws in the state the person is living in and what doctor or abortion clinic one goes to. Around 73 million induced abortions occur worldwide each year. Six out of 10 (61%) of all unintended pregnancies, and 3 out of 10 (29%) of all pregnancies, end in induced abortion (1). Comprehensive abortion care is included in the list of essential health care services published by WHO in 2020. Abortion is a straightforward health care intervention that can be successfully managed by a wide range of health workers using medication or a surgical procedure.

In the first 12 weeks of pregnancy, a medical abortion can also be safely self-managed by the pregnant person outside of a health care facility (e.g., at home). This requires that the woman has gained the exact information, quality medicines, and support from a trained health worker (if she needs or wants it during the process). Lack of access to safe, affordable, timely, and respectful abortion care, and the stigma associated with abortion, pose risks to women’s physical and mental well-being throughout the life course. Inaccessibility of quality abortion care risks violating a range of human rights of women and girls.

Each year, 4.7–13.2% of maternal deaths can be attributed to unsafe abortion (3). In developed regions, it is estimated that 30 women die for every 100 000 unsafe abortions. In developing regions, that number rises to 220 deaths per 100 000 unsafe abortions (2). Estimates from 2012 indicate that in developing countries alone, 7 million women per year were treated in hospital facilities for complications of unsafe abortion (4). Apart from what is abortion and researching some statistics, I also made a research about other things.

A video published by the WHO was published on social media. The name of this feature is: How to talk about abortion: A guide to rights-based messaging and is designed to help individuals and organizations think about the language and images they use to communicate about abortion and offers best-practice tips. Again, a short animation has been created to share these tips further. Another feature was called; How to talk about abortion: A guide for journalists, editors, and media outlets encourages accurate reporting of the facts about abortion, and honest portrayals of abortion as part of real people’s lives and relationships.

Another feature posted by them was; How to educate about abortion: A guide for peer educators, trainers, and teachers is a comprehensive guide providing the rationale for teaching about abortion issues, as well a number of practical activities for doing so. The accompanying short animation distills this advice into just two minutes! So there are many advantages why an animated feature than creating any other feature. Here are some advantages about doing an animated feature and how people prefer animated. It brings a topic to life and it gains the attention of the viewer. Animation provides real to life scenarios faced in daily life during learning.

This learning uses methods of learning by viewing, doing, and coaching. This helps in practical skill development and better knowledge retention. Animation adds fun to learning and motivates one to look for more information to learn.
